The project “Youth as Drivers of Environmental Solutions – Outdoor Class” is implemented by the Environmental Association “Zeleni Sad” with financial support from the Ministry of Tourism and Youth of the Republic of Serbia.
As part of the project, educational and interactive workshops will be organized in Sombor during the autumn of 2025. The aim is to empower young people and residents of the municipality of Sombor to actively participate in environmental protection. The project raises awareness of local environmental challenges and promotes collaborative action and the development of sustainable solutions.
The “Outdoor Class” is a specially designed activity that allows participants to explore local environmental issues such as air and water pollution, deforestation, and the preservation of natural resources through direct contact with nature and fieldwork. Through workshops, field activities, and consultations with environmental experts, young people and interested citizens will be encouraged to develop innovative and practical solutions to improve the local environmental situation.
Project activities will run from August to October 2025. They will involve active participation of youth from Sombor, with support from teachers, educators, and environmental experts who will provide mentorship throughout the implementation. The local government also provides significant support, while overall coordination of the project is managed by the Environmental Association “Zeleni Sad.”
The project is supported by the Ministry of Tourism and Youth of the Republic of Serbia in alignment with the Youth Policy Goals of the Republic of Serbia for the period 2023–2030.
We invite all citizens of the municipality of Sombor, with a special focus on school-aged youth, to join us in these activities so that together we can build a better and more sustainable future for our community.
